Recycled Forest,2009
The Machine Project Deforestation Squad has recycled the Forest. Instead of throwing away materials like styrofoam, fake leaves, rocks, branches and astroturf leftover from a recent installation where Machine Project was turned into a fake forest, the squad has transformed the remnants into useful items. They sent out a call for requests and promised to make anything the requester wanted as long as they promised to take it home.
Styrofoam, astroturf, tree branches, forest wallpaper, tree logs, wood chips, pine cones, steel wire, various adhesives, rocks, polyurethane varnish
Machine Project collaboration with Liz Glynn, Los Angeles, CA
